Fire-resistant glass in Germany: AGC takes over Etex's existing OEM customers

AGC Glass Europe takes over the existing German OEM customers for fire-resistant glass from Etex. As a multinational group of companies, Etex manufactures and distributes Promat brand insulation and fire protection materials in addition to its sustainable materials and solutions for the construction and industrial sectors.

This important market segment, which is served by Etex as a leading manufacturer and supplier of fire-resistant glass, primarily comprises German developers and manufacturers of industrial doors with passive fire protection properties. “With this expansion of its business activities, AGC is once again underlining its aim to strengthen its European leadership position in fire-resistant glass and to invest directly in the German market, which is strategically important for this type of glass,” says Guibert de Bonhome, Head of the Fire-Resistant Glass business unit at AGC Glass Europe. AGC and Etex will do everything possible to make the transition as easy as possible for OEM customers. AGC will continue its cooperation with Etex in other segments of this market.
