Giga Lites
With “Giga Lites”, AGC Interpane has developed glazing that is likely to be one of the largest coated glass products in the world. The maximum delivery size for coatings on float glass is 19.00 x 3.21 meters – with a maximum pane thickness of 20 mm.
However, a number of conditions must be observed during installation, such as the weight of the glazing units and individual panes as well as the minimum glass thickness of different types of glass. The type of blocking may need to be adapted or elastic supports may be required. Due to the weight, dimensions and greater width of the edge seal, it is generally necessary to check whether the intended window or façade system is suitable for this type of product.
