AGC Interpane: 2 Finsbury Ave, London

London

2 Finsbury Avenue is a current construction project in London’s financial district, for which the lead architects at 3XN are aiming for ‘BREEAM Outstanding’ and ‘Net Zero Carbon’ building certifications. For the 12-storey connecting podium and the two towers, comprising 38 and 23 storeys respectively, AGC Interpane supplied more than 27,000 square metres of ‘Stopray’ solar control and ‘iplus’ thermal insulation glazing, including many custom triangular and trapezoidal shapes, which are currently being installed. Completion of the building is scheduled for 2027.

Coloured cover glasses for highly efficient BIPV

With its new brand ‘ipasolar’, AGC Interpane Architectural Glass now offers coloured magnetron coatings for cover glass on photovoltaic modules, which also guarantee a high efficiency of 90 to 96 per cent (depending on the reflective colour) compared to an uncoated black module.

AGC Interpane: 40 Leadenhall Street, London

London

40 Leadenhall Street is one of the largest building projects realised to date in the historic City of London and is inspired by the North American skyscrapers of the early 20th century. For the glass façade realised by Focchi, AGC Interpane supplied more than 30,000 square metres of Stopray solar control glass, constructed on both sides as laminated safety glass, thermally insulating and with a ceramic edge print that visually conceals seals and silicone while protecting them at the same time.

Intelligent planning for maximum energy efficiency

“8 Bishopsgate” is a 50-storey, 204 meter high skyscraper in the City of London, which achieves the best energy efficiency class “EPC A” and has been awarded the “BREEAM Outstanding” certificate.

Acquisition of one of the largest safety glass manufacturers in Europe, Sicherheitsglastechnik Oelsnitz GmbH (SGT), as well as the management company Schuler & Weiß OHG and its subsidiary SG Transport GmbH in Germany.

AGC Glass Europe: Cooperation with Internorm

Lauenförde, GER

Window manufacturer Internorm is now using “iplus Low-Carbon” thermal insulation glass as standard in its product range, thereby driving forward its sustainability strategy. “Low-carbon” base glass from AGC has a reduced global warming potential (GWP) of just 5.5 kg[1] CO2-eq/m² with a glass thickness of 4 millimetres.

AGC Interpane: ENI Headquarter, Milan

Milan, IT

The “ideal city” of Metanopoli, conceived by Enrico Mattei back in the 1950s, has now been given a prominent addition in the form of the “VI Palazzo ENI”: three horizontally aligned “towers” connected by futuristic skybridges nestle flat against the geography of the industrial landscape on the south-eastern edge of Milan and frame a large, central square.

Green building for sustainable

In the heart of London, "Bankside Yards" will be the UK's first large mixed-use development with no use of fossil fuels and with net-zero CO2-emission from day one. "Arbor", designed by PLP Architecture (London), is the first finished of eight planned buildings here amidst 3.3 hectares of public space, eight public squares, 14 historic railroad arches and new retail and cultural spaces.

Successful integration into the city cluster

52 Lime Street, also known as “The Scalpel”, is a prime example of the successful integration of modern project architecture into the historic structure of the City of London. The impressive 190-metre-high office tower, designed by architects Kohn Pedersen Fox (KPF), is viewed extremely positively by Londoners, as it improves the north-south connection through the district and creates an attractive public square at its base, reminiscent of the historic Lime Street Square, which was lost in the 1940s.
